How to look up what a jersey match sold for
A seller can ask any price for a jersey match. What a card is worth is what people actually paid, and on eBay that means the sold listings. Jersey matches sell rarely, so the trick is searching narrowly enough to find the few real sales, then reading them correctly.

Turn on "Sold items"
- On a computer: click Advanced next to the eBay search button, type your search, and tick Sold items under "Search including".
- In the eBay app: search, tap Filter, then Show more, and pick Sold items.
- Keep it on in the app: if you search a lot, turn on lockable filters in the filter menu and tap the padlock next to Sold. Your searches then show sold items until you unlock it.
Prices in green sold. If you switch to completed listings instead, prices in black or red are cards that ended without selling, which tells you where buyers said no.
Sold results only go back about 90 days. A jersey match of a lesser player may not have sold at all in that time, so don't be surprised by an empty page.
Search the serial, not the player
A search for the player's name returns every card of theirs that sold. Add the exact serial in quotes instead. For a player who wears 23 on a /99 parallel:
Jordan "23/99"finds titles that write the serial that way.- Sellers write serials differently, so try the other ways too:
"23 of 99", and with a leading zero on bigger print runs, such as"023/199"for a /199 parallel. - Put alternatives in brackets, separated by commas with no spaces, to search them at once:
Jordan ("23/99","23 of 99"). - Put a minus sign in front of words you don't want:
-lot -reprintdrops lots and reprints. Leave out "jersey match" from your search: most sellers don't write it, so it hides real sales.
Then repeat for the parallels you care about. Each player page on Jersey Match Library lists every jersey match serial and print run, so you know which serials to look for.
Read every result before you trust it
Search engines match words, not cards. Before you count a sale, open it and check:
- The same product, year and parallel. "Prizm 23/99" from one season is not the same card as another season's 23/99, and a Red /99 is not a Blue /99.
- The stamp on the card, not just the title. Titles are typed by the seller and are sometimes wrong. How to check a serial number shows what to look at.
- The right number for that season. A player who changed numbers has different jersey matches in different years. See players with two jersey numbers.
- Raw or graded. A graded card and an ungraded one are different prices. Compare like with like.
The Best Offer trap
When a seller accepts a Best Offer, eBay shows the original asking price crossed out, not the price the buyer paid. The real amount could be close to the asking price or far below it. Treat a crossed-out price as "sold for less than this", never as the sale price.
Some collectors use outside tools such as 130point.com, which show accepted Best Offer prices for items sold in the United States.
Too few sales? Compare the same card without the match
If no jersey match of the card has sold recently, look up sales of the same parallel with any serial. That's the floor. A jersey match usually sells for more than an ordinary copy, but by how much depends on the player and the card: are jersey matches worth more? covers what moves the premium. Then decide what the match is worth to you on top.
Quick answers
Why doesn't this site show sold prices? We show cards for sale right now and leave price history to you; the searches above take a minute once you know the serial.
Can I see sales older than 90 days on eBay? Not in eBay's public search. Your own sales go back further in your Seller Hub.
What about auctions with no bids? They show as completed, not sold. They tell you a starting price was too high, not what the card is worth.
